Passion 2003

Tahoe Arts produced Stephen Sondheim's Passion at Piper's Opera House in the Fall of 2003. Piper's is in Virginia City and is a wonderful and historic venue. Suzie Tagayev directed and played the part of Fosca. Saundra Chaon played Clara, and I did the vocal direction and played the part of Giorgio. Dave Hamilton and Kurt Munger from LTCC were also part of the cast. I think doing the show at Piper's had something to do with that. This is one of the few shows where I don't seem to have a program. Lev had also gotten one of those souvenir "fake news" papers.

Joy Michiel gave us a nice writeup in the Tahoe This Week.

I do have lots of photos from this production.

Guilty Pleasures 2003

Guilty Pleasures had been well-received when we opened the previous summer. Dave updated the script and we added some new songs.

Ginger Janssen provided a new poster with a similar design as the original but with updated fake quotes. The Action also had a little blurb on us.

There was a great review of the show in the Tahoe Daily Tribune.

We also did a similar cast promo shot.

Working 2003

In Spring of 2003 LTCC produced Working based on the Studs Terkel book with music by Stephen Schwartz et al. I did the music direction, midied the score, and even though John Wade is listed as the Mason, I sang the song.

The poster turned out really cool.

I found a cast picture on Susie Sheridan's Facebook page. There was also one in the paper.

Faculty Recital 2003

Salli Parker and I did another recital for the Classical Concert Series at LTCC in February of 2003. Salli gave me a little break by performing a few solo pieces herself.

The Tahoe Daily Tribune had a nice article about it.
