Amy and I continued our relationship long distance in the Fall of 1982. I proposed to her around Thanksgiving. She was going to be finished with her undergrad at WIU by the end of that semester, and we were going to move to Chicago to pursue our dreams. We got married in a civil ceremony on January 8, 1983.
