We moved to Champaign and got an apartment that was the first floor of an old house that had been remodeled and fixed up. Amy started her Master's in Early Childhood Education and I started my doctorate in Vocal Performance. We both got jobs at JCPenneys. That first school year I was selling electronics full-time and going to school part-time. She was selling jewelry part-time and going to school full-time. I didn't do any shows until the following summer.
